Founded in 1992, the French Chamber of Commerce has made an effort to enhance the development of Sino-French trade and to promote the presence of French companies to Chinese authorities as well as to the Chinese business community. Since the number of French enterprises in Shenzhen is ever-increasing, CCIFC Shenzhen Office was set up in December 2008 in Shenzhen International Science and Technology Business Platform, assuring its role by:

• working within the French business community in China (discussion platforms, seminars, conferences, gala dinner),
• offering operational assistance services to French firms established in China or wishing to do so: setting up individual meetings; organising group visits according to sector or groups from the same French region to determine Chinese market opportunities; recruitment services; training, etc.
• representing French companies with the Chinese business community and with the French and foreign government bodies in China,
• providing a channel of communication between French and Chinese business communities.

The French Chamber of Commerce counts 1200 members in 2008, with 3 chapters in China (Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou) and 5 sub-chapters in Shenzhen, Kunming, Shenyang, Tianjin and Wuhan.
