Introduction
 

Since the establishment in Oct 2004,Shenzhen International Science & Technology Business Platform (ISTB) has undertaken the key role as Shenzhen municipal government's important strategy to continuously enhance hi-tech industry's sustainable development, greatly implement "Going Global"strategy and furthermore build Shenzhen as an innovative and international metropolitan city.
Located in south district of Shenzhen Hi-tech Industry Park (SHIP), ISTB covers the total area of 10,000 m2 fully equipped with offices, conferencing, business, canteen, entertainment facilities and owns the professional service management organization. By different times, ISTB has attracted 42 overseas organizations from 30 countries and areas, based upon whose resources, ISTB has successfully implemented government's ¡°Bringing In¡± and "Going Global" strategies, promoted Shenzhen international trade and bridged the friendship links for governmental and non-governmental organizations.

ISTB has achieved dramatic successes and outcomes in the 6 years, which including:
- Attracted 314overseas enterprises and projects into Shenzhen
- Introduced 126 overseas advanced technologies
- Assisted 3 overseas famous universities entering Shenzhen Virtual University Park
-Invited 551 overseas delegations to attend exhibition or business missions in Shenzhen
-Organized 926 seminars, workshops, international conferences and etc. to introduce overseas trade & investment environments and technology policies
- Organized 402 delegations attending overseas exhibitions or business missions
- Supported 128 Shenzhen enterprises setting up overseas branches or representative offices
- Supported 343 Shenzhen enterprises building up technology or trade relations with overseas partners
- Helped Shenzhen enterprises export up to US $ 1327.66 million and import up to US $211.32million
- Helped Russia Samara Region and Shenzhen build up Friendship City relation
- Helped MOU agreement signing between Canada St. John City with Shenzhen. England, the Southwest part of Britain, signed the Memorandum of sister cities with Shenzhen. And so did Kigali, Rwanda with the Shenzhen
- Received over 359 domestic and overseas delegations of more than 3190 delegates, of which overseas delegates reached 223 groups with 1540 attendees
